Salam et bonjour,
What's up peeps?
Finally i got my feet on the ground of my hometown.
*Got permission from the intern place for Friday off*
But instead of a three days trip became a two days trip due to
unexpected work plan.
The trip felt more likely a 24 hours trip and within
24 hours, we managed to do a lot of stuff
that was in the list except hiking to Pelindong.
=.="
It seemed that lots of changes has been going on around Kuantan.
The road works seemed to be never ending just like KL.
Unexpected dividers at unexpected places, and there's a roundabout at TC.
XD.
And the town gotten the jam fever just like KL.
My sister said to me the evening we arrived "and you think KL is the only place you think you'll face jams? Welcome to Kuantan!~"
The heat of Kuantan was as worse as back at uni.
So, no complain of that.
The only thing that haven't change is my neighbourhood area and my house.
It remains the same as i left and when i came back, it was still the same.
There were a few houses under renovations, though.
I did manage to get a morning caffeine on the Saturday at my mum's
and my sis usual double-o-seven hideout spot.
It has been their favourite hideout the moment the shop landed in Kuantan.
The coffee shop was situated at the one of the busy roads in town.
The food is nice and the service is a good one.
It was a full house that morning.
What is ironic about Kuantan people is,
they're not really scared with the policemen around the town,
and the tickets.
But, they are really scared...i mean REALLY sacred of the local council parking collectors.
I'm not sure why. I thought it was a joke as i think it's just
in my family that felt that way and i would say it as such myth.
As it turned out, it has become a fact as i saw it on that Saturday morning.
While the whole people at the coffee shop were happily having their breakfast,
i could see some table were filled huge families and some just
yam-cha with friends.It was a happy Saturday...until
there were two women suddenly appeared with their hi-tech PDA out of nowhere.
*my sister said that the ladies learnt from playing hard-core CS game to be able to do that kind of technique*
An informer shouted to the shop
"Siape tak letak parking ticket lagik kat kereta?"
*Who haven't put their ticket parking at their car yet?"
And within a few seconds, people running through their cars
and started scratching their parking ticket.
*Thank God no body fell down the stairs*
Unlike KL, Kuantan has this 70's technology of having
the 'scratch and win' tickets to be shown at the windshield of the car.
So, every car in Kuantan needs to have a book of them.
I guess everyone thought the ladies were on break on weekends,
so no need to put the parking ticket at the window
...and the prediction was wrong for all.
The moment i saw everyone ran, i thought there were some car theft or
Godzilla about to appear or something,
then i saw people started scratching the ticket.
There were some unlucky ones to get the summons.
It was hilarious, i laughed a lot after everyone settled down at the seat.
The other thing that made me laughed is that there was an informer to warn everyone.
Kudos,to the man!~
XD
*If only i had my camera that time around*
I could not believe that the ladies were that powerful in the town.
So, remember, be alert with women with PDA in a light blue shirts making rounds around Kuantan.
When everyone sat back to their tables, everyone laughed
and exchanged smiles to one another at the shops.
It was a great Saturday.
So, ok enough with blabbers.
I'm out.
Current mood : Being plain as usual
