Hoh?! It's 1.21 am in the morning and i still can't sleep. This morning i'll be having the design process class of ID III. X tahulh if i can draw a straight line this morning. Anyways, just digging out on Rachael Yamagata again after awhile haven't heard from her. So, now...not really now but last year, she had released her second album which is "Elephants...Teeth Sinking Into Heart". She had released her EP during late august last year at iTunes store. Huhu!~ I got the mailing lists lots of times never bothered to open the mail until today when sumbody requested it. Sadly, she's not reallyfamously known in Malaysia. In Europe and NYC, she's just another Indie musician who is struggling to be in the mainstream world.
All i could sum up about her is she's a half japanese and half italian and german. Her dad is the japanese american while her mother is the italian, german background *still have the asian blood in her...*. All i could say her beautiful gift comes from her family of lawyer and painter/artist. Little do i know about her is she has a twin which is a brother, Benji. I call her the whisper-ish voice lady, coz of the way she sings. Heard about her first was from some random blog or website. Then, i got addicted to her voice. Her singing style is the same as Feist vocalist. Most of my friends say that her songs are like lullabies...hahaha!~ hmm... i have weird taste of songs. hahaha.
Anyways, loving the track "faster". 'Why don't you let me be,'Cause I'm a million miles away,Why don't you set me free, 'Cause you don't treat me like you said, 'and the track "don't" from the disc 2: teeth sinking into heart.While disc 1: Elephants, my favourites are "over and over", "brown eyes", "sunday afternoon" and "horizon" .
